About the Role
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking experienced Data Scientists to join their team, working from various metro cities across India. This position is ideal for candidates with 6 to 15 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics, who are skilled in developing and deploying machine learning and statistical models within enterprise settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to define analytical problems and determine relevant data requirements from diverse sources.
- Apply exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to identify meaningful patterns and prepare datasets for modeling.
- Build, validate, and optimize machine learning models tailored to business needs such as segmentation, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection.
- Convert complex modeling outcomes into understandable insights and visual presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with data engineering and IT departments to implement models in production environments and ensure their continued effectiveness through monitoring and updates.
- Continuously explore new data science innovations and methodologies to advance the organization's analytical capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong grounding in machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting.
- Proficient programming skills in Python or R, utilizing libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Expertise in data cleansing, manipulation, exploratory analysis, and feature construction to enable effective modeling.
- Competence in data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau to convey data-driven stories.
- Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML Studio, Google AI Platform) is a desirable advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication abilities, with a track record of working in agile, collaborative team environments.
- Meticulous attention to data quality and documentation.
