Job description
Role overview
This internship sits within a team focused on live-streaming intelligence and operations. The work centers on improving real-time interactions, helping creators connect with audiences worldwide, and strengthening the reliability, growth, and safety of the LIVE ecosystem.
You will contribute to a large-scale, high-performance distributed environment and work alongside product managers to improve live-streaming experiences for both creators and viewers. The role blends data science, analytics, and operational problem-solving to support revenue growth, creator engagement, and safer platform operations.
What the team works on
The Live Platform Intelligence team uses both model-based and data-driven methods to improve key LIVE business metrics. Its focus includes automated operations, better supply-side efficiency, detection and handling of harmful user behavior and business anomalies, and ensuring stable day-to-day operation of the LIVE business.
Responsibilities
- Analyze how users interact with the LIVE ecosystem and turn those insights into a deeper understanding of product usage and behavior.
- Assist with long-term planning and execution by using detailed analysis to guide business decisions.
- Create and maintain measurement frameworks for platform growth and risk, improve coverage across workflow stages, and evaluate the impact of platform strategies.
Internship details
This opportunity is intended for students joining in 2026. Candidates must be available for at least 3 months.
- January to June intake, with onboarding by 12 Jan 2026
- May to August intake, with onboarding by 11 May 2026

Qualifications
Applicants should be postgraduate students currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another related technical field.
Hands-on ability in programming is required, especially in SQL and Python. A practical understanding of machine-learning models and how they can be applied to content and safety risks is also expected.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, analytical, self-driven, and comfortable working in a data-focused environment. Prior exposure to quantitative analysis is considered an advantage.
