Join a global, end-to-end data science group that supports the growth of TikTok Shop through analytics, metrics design, experimentation, product and operational insights, algorithm improvement, data infrastructure, and data product development. Responsibilities

• Partner with business operations, product, algorithm, strategy, and engineering teams to create data-driven solutions for high-priority business challenges and uncover new growth opportunities.
• Analyze datasets to identify patterns, trends, and meaningful business signals, then turn findings into clear recommendations.
• Act as a data partner for discovering and integrating new datasets that can be used in product capabilities, while working closely with engineering on data product development.
• Design statistical approaches and run analytical experiments such as A/B tests, while staying up to date with developments in the field and the wider industry.
• Work with algorithms and models to explore large-scale data, diagnose errors, refine model performance, and ensure data is clean, accurate, and consistent.
• Use AI in everyday workflows and help build AI-powered data solutions that make analysis more automated and scalable.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher is required; degrees in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or closely related subjects are preferred.
• English must be usable as a working language.
• Strong hands-on ability with SQL, Excel, and Python or another scripting language.
• Understanding of common statistical and analytical techniques.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
• Self-starter attitude, sound logical reasoning, strong business interpretation skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
• Comfort with numbers and a strong interest in data analysis.
• Prior internship exposure in data science or data analysis is preferred.
