Job description
About the company
Future Secure AI is developing new-age AI solutions for large enterprises across multiple industries. The company works on challenging, real-world problems using advanced technology and maintains a culture built around courage, discipline, and curiosity. Its leadership team is hands-on, approachable, and entrepreneurial, with an open-door style that keeps people closely connected to decision-makers. The organisation also places strong emphasis on employee growth, recognising that long-term success depends on developing its people.
Role overview
As a Senior Data Scientist in Applied Science, you will act as a technical leader within the advanced analytics and AI team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning solutions, especially systems powered by large language models, to address meaningful business problems for enterprise customers. In addition to technical delivery, you will help shape strategy, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to responsible, scalable AI practices.
Your work will have direct impact on production AI systems that can influence both industries and broader society.
Key responsibilities
- Build and release machine learning models and LLM-based systems that deliver measurable value to products and end users.
- Work through large, complex structured and unstructured datasets to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities.
- Improve the quality of LLM outputs across different use cases, including refining multi-step reasoning workflows.
- Stay current with leading academic research in AI and machine learning, including work presented at conferences such as ICLR, NeurIPS, and EMNLP.
- Drive MLOps efforts such as performance monitoring, benchmark creation, quality assurance, and compliance controls.
- Contribute to long-term AI and data strategy, including governance, ethical AI considerations, and scalable system design.
- Partner with engineering, product, and senior business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Coach and support junior data scientists while setting high standards for technical quality.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced data scientist with at least 5 years of practical experience delivering machine learning and AI outcomes. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, communicating clearly, and collaborating across functions to produce measurable business results.
You will likely do well in this role if you combine strong scientific thinking with practical execution, and if you actively follow new developments in the fast-moving LLM and AI space.
Required qualifications and experience
- A doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Background in the AI sector, ideally with exposure to agentic AI.
- Strong practical knowledge of NLP methods such as LSTMs, CNNs, transformers, topic modelling, and supervised NLP.
- Hands-on commercial experience with modern LLM tools and ecosystems such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, multi-agent frameworks, and GPT-based systems.
- Strong Python skills for machine learning and NLP; familiarity with additional programming languages is an advantage.
- Ability to turn complex technical ideas into clear, practical guidance for non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative mindset marked by empathy, humility, openness to feedback, and a desire to keep learning.
- Comfort operating in an agile environment that changes quickly.
