Job description
About the company
Pell Frischmann is a specialist consultancy working across the built and natural environment, supporting public and private sector clients with advisory and technical services. Since its formation in 1926, the business has focused on practical, client-centred solutions that combine commercial understanding, sustainability, and innovation.
The organisation is owned through RSBG SE, the long-term investment arm of RAG-Stiftung, a foundation created to address environmental and social obligations linked to the closure of Germany’s coal mining industry. As a result, the work contributes indirectly to tackling global pollution and climate change.
Role overview
This opportunity sits within the Ecology team and involves supporting responsible environmental practice and habitat protection across the UK. You will work with experienced colleagues on a range of ecological and environmental assignments, gaining practical exposure to high-profile projects in the environment sector.
The position is based in Swanbourne and requires travel for project work, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. The role also includes collaboration with teams across the UK.
Programme and development
You will be part of a two-year Graduate Programme built around the competency expectations of leading professional institutions. The programme is intended to help you build your career through structured development, real project involvement, and networking with other graduates across the business. It also supports growth in areas such as project delivery, commercial awareness, and personal effectiveness.
Main duties
- Build practical capability in ecological surveying, analysis, and report writing, following recognised guidance, relevant ecological law, and internal quality procedures.
- Contribute to climate change and carbon-related work.
- Support ecological impact assessment activities.
- Take an active role in projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental care.
Right to work requirements
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position because of salary thresholds. Applicants must already hold an unrestricted right to work in the UK for the full length of the graduate programme, which runs for 2 to 3 years and ends in July 2029. Applications cannot be accepted if the right to work is temporary and would expire before the programme finishes.
Working pattern
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 37.5-hour working week. The role is based in Swanbourne and the working practice is hybrid.
How to apply
Applicants are asked to complete the application form and upload a CV. Personal details such as home address and date of birth should be removed from the CV before submission.
Diversity and data use
As part of recruitment, candidates will be asked to complete a diversity monitoring form. The organisation uses this information to review and improve the fairness of its recruitment processes. The data is kept confidential and will not be shared with those involved in selection.
What the employer offers
The business describes itself as collaborative and supportive, with flexibility, development support, and opportunities to build a meaningful career while making a positive impact in the communities it serves. It is committed to equal opportunities, welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, participates in the Disability Confident Scheme, and is open to discussing flexible working and employee wellbeing.
