Jobright is a fast-scaling AI-powered job search platform in the U.S. They are hiring an Early Career Data Scientist to help strengthen their production AI agents, improve model quality, and use user behavior data to inform product decisions.

Key responsibilities
- Design, train, and ship predictive models and machine learning systems that support the core decision logic of production AI agents.
- Test and refine large language model prompts, fine-tuning methods, and retrieval-augmented generation workflows to raise agent quality and dependability.
- Analyze user interaction data in depth to uncover patterns that can guide product enhancements and new feature ideas.
- Track model behavior and performance, and provide technical support during important product iteration phases.
Requirements
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with 0 to 2 years of experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Strong Python programming ability and working knowledge of machine learning tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
- Hands-on understanding of LLMs, prompt design, and how to assess generative AI outputs.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical approaches and model results to cross-functional teammates.
- Preferred background includes internship or research work in NLP, autonomous agents, or recommender systems.
- Preferred experience with data pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Preferred technical strength in SQL and database management for data retrieval and feature engineering.

This opportunity is for candidates located in Canada and is a full-time onsite position. The role focuses on applied machine learning, LLM experimentation, and analytics in a production environment.
