Data Scientist Associate - Corporate & Investment Banking

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement analytics and automation strategies that enhance operational workflows and optimize client outcomes.
• Generate data-driven insights to help merchants improve payment authorization rates, reduce chargebacks, and lower overall payment processing costs.
• Create and sustain data infrastructure including pipelines, comprehensive datasets, and interactive dashboards utilizing technologies like Snowflake, Python, SQL, and Tableau.
• Develop and refine generative AI-based capabilities, focusing on prompt engineering aligned with stakeholders' needs.
• Plan and conduct thorough testing and evaluation procedures ensuring solution accuracy, dependability, and effectiveness.
• Continuously monitor model performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement relevant updates.
• Collaborate closely with data owners, engineers, and business teams to bolster data modeling and analytic method development.
• Support both internal analytics tools and external merchant-facing insights platforms, including fulfilling specialized client data requests.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or a related field.
• At least 2 years in data science, analytics, or a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and workflow automation.
• Experience applying quantitative methods to solve practical business challenges.
• Familiarity with machine learning principles, data science techniques, and associated tools.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and agent-based AI methodologies.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities to translate business goals into actionable results.
• Excellent teamwork skills facilitating cross-functional partnerships among product, engineering, and business units.

Preferred Skills

• Skill in rapid prototyping and creating data-driven applications, especially using Tableau and Streamlit.
• Knowledge of cloud services like AWS and data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Understanding quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity.
• Documenting analytic requirements and aligning expectations among diverse stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to quickly learn new tools and concepts.
