Job description
Job Overview
This role requires professionals who can efficiently operate with minimal supervision within established guidelines to prepare specialized reports in the domain of data protection and privacy. The incumbent contributes to achieving milestones and targets in their functional area by conducting assessments, identifying challenges, supporting policy development, and ensuring implementation of data privacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update ZATCA data management guidelines based on National Data Management Office (NDMO) policies to maintain compliance.
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify gaps and challenges concerning personal and private data handling.
- Support creation of data privacy policies, standards, and procedures aligned with ZATCA's strategy and recognized international standards.
- Propose initiatives and plans to enhance protection of sensitive data and information assets within ZATCA.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for data privacy metrics aligned with strategic objectives to ensure effective monitoring.
- Communicate data policies and strategies clearly to stakeholders to foster understanding and engagement.
- Carry out risk assessments focused on data privacy issues and suggest appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Implement control mechanisms and tracking metrics to monitor employee adherence to data confidentiality requirements.
- Design and deploy awareness programs to educate on NDMO and ZATCA data privacy obligations.
- Oversee the execution of data privacy plans, addressing issues related to evaluation, integration, and automation promptly.
- Identify improvement areas continuously and develop initiatives to uphold data standards and obligations.
- Monitor implementation of action plans and work with IT and other internal teams to execute corrective measures.
- Generate compliance reports detailing ZATCA's adherence to data protection standards for stakeholder review.
- Follow internal policies and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and reliable operations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, resolving escalated problems and ensuring task completion.
- Train and mentor junior staff, delegate responsibilities effectively, and oversee their workflow.
- Escalate complex issues as needed to guarantee resolution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline is mandatory.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in related fields.
