  • Guide, mentor, and grow a capable data and engineering team.
  • Create a unified and collaborative team environment after the joining of two teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into effective product outcomes.
  • Manage delivery from start to finish while protecting quality, compliance, and integration across the wider ecosystem.
  • Spot skill or capability gaps and introduce training and development initiatives.
  • Promote strong data governance, privacy, and best-practice ways of working, while making use of enterprise and AI capabilities.

What you will bring

  • Substantial experience in data product management, including strategy, roadmap development, and delivery execution.
  • Demonstrated people leadership with the ability to lead and elevate technical teams.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of data platforms and tools such as SQL, dbt, GCP, BigQuery, and Python.
  • Experience shaping data product architecture and designing engagement models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business needs into measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, risk management, and enterprise data practices.
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented approach with a focus on team integration and high performance.

Benefits and perks

  • Enhanced KiwiSaver support with a 4.5% employer contribution, plus standard life insurance.
  • 20 days of annual leave and an additional 5 days of MyLeave for personal priorities.
  • Flexible working options, including working from home, through myFlex.
  • Discounts of up to 50% on personal insurance products, including home and motor cover.
  • An annual NZD 500 payment to support health and wellbeing.
  • 14 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning, IAG Academy, study support, and secondment opportunities.
