Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a Data Privacy Paralegal to support a multinational technology company’s privacy function on a long-term contract. The role suits a legal professional who wants practical exposure to data privacy work and GDPR compliance in a busy, international environment.
Location and contract details
The position is based in Dublin, Ireland, with a hybrid working pattern that requires attendance on site for 1 to 2 days per month. It is a 6-month initial contract with a strong possibility of being extended. The intended start date is as soon as possible.
What you will do
- Handle GDPR data subject rights requests, including requests connected to deletion and the right to be forgotten.
- Contribute to routine privacy operations and wider GDPR compliance work.
- Coordinate with the Data Protection Officer, privacy specialists, and other internal teams to ensure privacy matters are handled correctly and on time.
- Keep privacy logs, case records, and compliance documentation accurate and up to date.
- Support additional privacy, legal, and regulatory tasks when needed.
What the client is looking for
The ideal candidate should already have some exposure to data privacy or GDPR work, along with a legal background such as a paralegal or another comparable legal role. Experience gained in a law firm or a technology business in a privacy advisory position would be an advantage. The role also calls for someone who is well organised, comfortable balancing several priorities, and able to work well with cross-functional colleagues. An IAPP qualification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT is desirable, although a genuine interest in pursuing one is also welcome.
Additional information
This is a contract role with strong potential for extension. The work is with a leading multinational technology company and offers hands-on involvement in GDPR compliance and privacy operations.
