About the Role

Join OCBC, Singapore's longest established bank, as a Data Management Specialist and contribute to transforming the bank into a future-ready organization. You will play a key role in shaping the bank's data strategy and enhancing business growth by designing and implementing robust data management solutions across various functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage receipt and creation of security instruments information including Equity, Bond, Fund, and Structured Notes as well as counterparty details.
  • Maintain and update instrument, counterparty, and other general static data such as holiday schedules, currency tables, and GIIN numbers.
  • Set up nostro cash accounts and update debit/credit interest details within systems.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Ensure team adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and clarify roles within the team.
  • Implement and oversee control frameworks such as end-of-day checklists and incident management procedures.
  • Manage the client delivery framework, guiding team members on client experience impacts.
  • Handle exceptions and escalations thoroughly until full resolution.
  • Generate and report team metrics and volumes for Management Information Systems (MIS) purposes.

Qualifications and Profile

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines from Polytechnic or University.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in data management, data architecture, or similar fields.
  • Proficient in data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance practices.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at prioritizing competing tasks and managing various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data management tools like data modeling software, warehousing platforms, and governance frameworks.
  • Fluent in English with clear written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
