About the role

This position is for a detail-focused Data Entry Specialist to support a remote operations team. The work centers on manually downloading utility bills from multiple websites and uploading them into an internal portal with speed and accuracy. The role also includes non-voice transaction work such as parsing information, entering data, and updating records. Success in this job depends on strong attention to detail, process discipline, quick learning, and a practical approach to resolving issues.

The schedule is shift-based and starts at either 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm. Equipment is provided on a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) setup. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to build experience with systems, improve workflows, and grow in a remote operations setting.

Qualifications

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Well-organized, process-driven, and able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Comfortable handling sensitive situations and working under pressure
  • Able to multitask in a fast-moving environment without losing accuracy
  • Consistent focus on precision and careful review of completed work
  • Basic working knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, and similar tools
  • At least 6 months of experience in data processing
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred; undergraduates may qualify if they have at least 1 year of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Download utility bills from multiple websites and upload them to the company portal
  • Handle non-voice transaction processing with speed and accuracy, including parsing and updating data
  • Work according to established procedures and help improve processes when guided by leadership
  • Accept feedback and use it to improve performance
  • Adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and workflows
  • Check work carefully to maintain quality and accuracy
  • Take ownership of repetitive operational tasks and deliver consistent results
  • Use available resources first, then escalate or consult when issues cannot be solved independently
  • Set and manage stakeholder expectations, adjusting processes as needed to maintain satisfaction
  • Communicate clearly with teammates, leaders, and client contacts
  • Coordinate closely with team leaders on daily issues and concerns
  • Send end-of-day questions or updates about utility accounts to the designated contact
  • Carry out other related duties assigned by management
