Role Overview
This remote US-based position is part of the Medicaid claims processing function. The Data Entry Associate will be responsible for entering claim details accurately, protecting data quality, and helping claims move through the workflow without delay. The role is well suited to someone who wants exposure to healthcare administration, Medicaid support, and claims operations. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, typically either 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MST or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MST, with some flexibility possible. Pay is hourly at $16 to $17 depending on experience, and benefits may vary by state.
Key Duties
The role centers on accurate claim entry, document review, and follow-up on missing or inconsistent information. You will also help maintain throughput while meeting quality benchmarks, work within established submission procedures, communicate issues to supervisors or teammates, and take care of related clerical or administrative work as needed.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred. You’ll need basic computer knowledge, comfort with Microsoft Office, and a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute, with 40 WPM preferred. Strong focus on detail, good grammar and spelling, professional communication skills, and the ability to protect confidential information are essential. Candidates must also be able to clear pre-employment screening.
