About the Role
We are seeking a contract Data Business Analyst to join a leading investment management firm based in London. This role is crucial to a strategic client reporting transformation programme focused on migrating client reporting datasets to the Kurtosys platform. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the generation of factsheets, Quarterly Investment Reports (QIRs), and Monthly Investment Reports (MIRs) while working within a cross-functional delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis, sourcing, modelling, and transformation of data needed for client reporting outputs such as factsheets, QIRs, and MIRs.
- Gather and document business requirements in close collaboration with both business and technology stakeholders.
- Contribute to solution design and help define the target operating model for reporting processes.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, project managers, and external vendor teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel run activities, defect management, and provide support during post-launch hypercare.
- Ensure the accurate and high-quality delivery of data to facilitate a smooth migration to the Kurtosys platform.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in Asset Management or Investment Management environments.
- Strong expertise in data analysis, sourcing, modelling, and transformation.
- Hands-on experience with the full software development lifecycle including requirements capture, testing, and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing client reporting, reporting data projects, or data migration initiatives.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability with a structured approach.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Kurtosys or comparable client reporting platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of retail disclosures, Client Classification Information (CCI), or similar regulatory reporting requirements is a plus.
