Job description

Role overview

This position is part of T-Mobile’s analytics organization and supports better business decisions by turning business needs into usable data requirements, reporting outputs, and visual dashboards. The role focuses on examining complex data sets, spotting patterns, and helping stakeholders use data to guide strategy while improving data quality practices across the organization.

This is a hybrid position, not fully remote. The selected candidate must be based in Bellevue, WA; Frisco, TX; Overland Park, KS; New York, NY; or Maitland, FL, and must work in the office at least three days each week.

Key responsibilities

The role includes monitoring data quality controls, identifying data issues, and working with partners across reporting, data quality, and engineering to understand root causes and support fixes. It also involves documenting issues and resolutions, maintaining process and quality documentation, supporting audits and governance reviews, and suggesting improvements that strengthen data quality and operational efficiency.

In addition, the position requires profiling data, collaborating with data stewards and quality leads on remediation work, partnering with product owners and agile teams to deliver data initiatives on time, and converting business needs and data models into technical specifications and design documentation. Other duties and projects may be assigned by management as needed.

Experience and qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required, although an equivalent mix of education and experience may be accepted. A background in data governance or data management best practices is considered an advantage.

The preferred profile includes 2 to 4 years of experience in data identification, querying, cleansing, wrangling, and quality checking across relational and non-relational databases, including work in on-premise and cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Also preferred are 2 to 4 years of experience using statistical methods to answer business questions, presenting technical concepts to business and technical audiences, working with SQL, and using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Exposure to big data tools and platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka is a plus, and telecommunications experience is also preferred.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation and rewards

The base pay range for this role is $68,000 to $122,700 per year. The corporate bonus target is 10%. Actual pay will depend on location, experience, and qualifications.

T-Mobile also offers a broad rewards package that includes annual stock grants, an employee stock purchase plan, a 401(k), and access to free year-round money coaches. Regular, non-temporary employees may also qualify for an annual bonus or other incentive plan depending on role. Benefits for eligible employees can include medical, dental, and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts; paid time off; up to 12 paid holidays; parental and family leave; family-building support; back-up care; childcare subsidy; tuition assistance; college coaching; disability coverage; voluntary insurance options; mobile service and home internet discounts; pet insurance; and commuter or transit programs.

New full-time employees generally receive about four weeks of total annual paid time off and holiday time, while new part-time employees receive about 2.5 weeks annually.

Growth and inclusion

The company emphasizes career development and describes its culture as one built on growth and movement rather than a traditional ladder. T-Mobile is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to protected characteristics under federal, state, or local law. Candidates needing reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process can request support through the designated accommodation contact.
