This position is an opportunity for candidates located anywhere within the United States outside Central Ohio, with the requirement to work Eastern Standard Time hours. Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available for this role.
Role Summary
The Data Analyst will be instrumental in administering and analyzing data across the enterprise's IT infrastructure. Core responsibilities include crafting complex SQL queries, developing insightful Power BI dashboards, managing web platform setups, and aiding customer onboarding projects. This role impacts operational performance and client satisfaction by producing precise data insights and ensuring smooth technology deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, enhance, and streamline advanced SQL scripts for reporting, validation, and data analytics purposes.
- Design interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI to convey reliable and actionable data.
- Partner with IT and business units to facilitate customer implementation efforts such as data migration, configuration adjustments, and validation testing.
- Analyze data to detect patterns, irregularities, and business opportunities for stakeholders.
- Maintain data quality, security, and privacy compliance throughout all processes.
- Produce documentation on workflows, system configurations, and operational procedures to support team knowledge.
- Identify and troubleshoot data inconsistencies or issues within interconnected IT systems.
- Engage in interdisciplinary projects aimed at improving reporting tools and system efficiencies.
- Execute other related tasks as assigned to support organizational goals.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
- Between 4 to 6 years of professional experience in data analysis and reporting primarily within IT or large organizational contexts.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL including complex query writing, joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Demonstrated expertise with Power BI encompassing data modeling, DAX language, and dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical mindset with a sharp focus on detail and problem resolution.
- Capable of prioritizing various tasks effectively and adhering to deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional communication skills suited for collaboration with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous exposure to customer implementation activities like data migration and onboarding is desirable.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, APIs, and concepts related to data integration is preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare or regulated sector environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and experience in data warehousing are beneficial.
- Experience managing and configuring web platforms is considered a substantial plus.
