Test and Process Analyst - People and Culture

Overview

Curtin University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term Test and Process Analyst position based at our vibrant Bentley campus in Perth. This role is instrumental in enhancing People systems by ensuring thorough testing, process improvement, and seamless integration of new solutions across the university's HR and payroll environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and carry out functional, integration, and regression testing for various People systems and projects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and analyze operational scenarios.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and supporting documentation.
• Identify system faults and recommend appropriate testing methodologies.
• Ensure effective system use and compliance with business processes, especially within payroll.
• Proactively identify and suggest enhancements for processes and systems.
• Work collaboratively with People Operations, People Technology, and Digital Technology Services teams to deliver efficient and innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analytical thinker with a passion for system integration and continuous improvement. Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills are essential.

Selection Criteria

• A relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience and education.
• Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, preferably within Agile and DevOps frameworks.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical test scenarios and scripts.
• Strong analytical skills and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills with capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an aptitude to build collaborative relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI and SQL is preferred.

Additional Desirable Experience

Exposure to the higher education sector or familiarity with .NET applications will be highly regarded.

Conditions of Employment

• Candidates must hold current Australian work rights for the role duration.
• Employment is contingent on successful National Police Clearance and background checks.

Compensation and Benefits

The position is classified as a Fixed Term G06 level role, offering a salary ranging from $99,213 to $105,251 plus 17% superannuation.
