Role Overview
This full-time position as a Daily Collector and Marketer is based in Yaoundé and combines onsite work with some flexibility for remote tasks. Responsibilities include visiting current and potential members daily to collect savings or loan repayments, issuing receipts, and ensuring accurate transaction documentation. Additionally, the role involves promoting ACCUL's financial products, explaining services clearly, and responding to member inquiries professionally. Maintaining updated records, preparing simple reports, and adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures are key duties. Building and sustaining positive member relationships, supporting marketing initiatives, and collaborating with team members to meet collection and growth goals are essential aspects of the job.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong skills in communication and interpersonal relations, capable of engaging respectfully and professionally with a diverse member base.
- Basic numeracy and accurate record-keeping, with careful cash handling and documentation of transactions.
- Effective time management and organizational skills for planning daily routes, meeting collection goals, and submitting timely reports.
- A customer service oriented approach combined with problem-solving skills to address member concerns and provide clear product information.
- High integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness when managing funds and sensitive member data.
- Ability and willingness to work both in the field and office settings, including local travel within Yaoundé and surrounding regions.
- Experience or familiarity with basic marketing concepts or product/service promotion is beneficial.
- Minimum education level of high school diploma; further training or experience in finance, sales, or cooperatives is advantageous.
- Comfort with basic digital tools such as mobile applications or simple software for transaction recording and reporting.
