Job description
Job Purpose
Panda Retail Company, part of Savola Group, is looking to add a Cybersecurity Defense Manager to its expanding security function in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role reports to the Head of Cybersecurity and is responsible for guiding the cyber defense operations team that monitors and responds to threats around the clock, every day of the year, to identify, assess, track, and reduce risks that could affect the business.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the cybersecurity operations group to provide continuous monitoring, detection, and response across the organization’s digital landscape.
- Create, update, and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures so security events can be identified, contained, and recovered from quickly.
- Deploy and manage cyber defense platforms, controls, and technologies that strengthen protection against changing internal and external threats.
- Review live security alerts, logs, and threat intelligence sources to spot possible weaknesses or attacks and act on them without delay.
- Work closely with IT, Risk, and Compliance functions to align security controls with enterprise risk management requirements.
- Investigate the underlying causes of incidents and vulnerabilities and use the findings to improve preventive controls and defensive practices.
- Ensure company adherence to cybersecurity policies, internal procedures, and regulatory expectations to support resilience and compliance preparedness.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and training so employees understand their responsibilities and reduce people-related security risks.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards covering incident patterns, system health, and threat metrics to support leadership decisions.
- Coach and develop the cyber defense team to build capability, improve performance, and stay aligned with business goals.
Skills and Qualification Notes
Strong spoken and written English communication is required. A background in server administration is preferred. The role calls for strong analytical ability, close attention to detail, and disciplined documentation habits. Comfort working with command-line tools in both Linux and Windows environments is important. Deep working knowledge of firewalls, SIEM platforms, antivirus tools, and other security solutions is expected.
