Job description

About Stripe

Stripe is a leading financial infrastructure provider serving a diverse range of clients, from global enterprises to innovative startups. Our platform enables businesses to accept payments, expand revenue streams, and unlock new opportunities. Driven by our mission to enhance the global internet economy, we offer a career with significant impact and growth potential.

Role Overview

As a Customer Success Manager (CSM) at Stripe, you will manage the post-sales relationship with enterprise customers to ensure they fully benefit from their Stripe investment. You'll foster client success, drive retention and account growth, and facilitate renewal processes, playing a crucial role in Stripe’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with account executives and technical account managers to support the post-sale phase, focusing on optimizing customer outcomes, ensuring retention, and driving expansion.
  • Maintain responsibility for a portfolio of enterprise clients by monitoring account health, product adoption, usage patterns, renewal status, customer advocacy, and satisfaction levels.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on payments and product offerings, providing insights on payment performance and relevant industry trends.
  • Conduct business reviews with clients to align on priorities, evaluate payment metrics, share product roadmap updates, and advise on how to maximize value from Stripe solutions.
  • Represent the customer internally by conveying feedback and insights to Product Management, Engineering, Support, Marketing, and Sales teams to enhance the Stripe user experience.
  • Work with account teams to drive account growth by identifying opportunities to expand the usage of Stripe's products within customer organizations.

Candidate Profile

We seek motivated professionals who meet the minimum criteria and encourage eligible candidates to apply. Preferred qualifications serve as additional assets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least four years experience in client-facing roles, ideally managing enterprise relationships with large, global, and complex customers, preferably involving technical products.
  • Advanced business acumen with a clear understanding of user business strategies and drivers.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders to make decisions supported by solution value.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exemplary organizational skills and disciplined time management.
  • Powerful executive presence and competency in delivering presentations to multi-stakeholder audiences.
  • Background as a consultant, pre-sales specialist, or technical account manager is advantageous.
  • Track record of achieving business targets or sales goals.
  • Experience managing complex projects or large programs.

Work Environment

Employees are generally expected to work onsite, spending at least 50% of their working time in the office or with customers, with some teams in specific locations such as Dublin required to work fully onsite to facilitate collaboration and effective support.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position in Dublin is €90,700 to €136,100, which includes base salary plus potential commissions or bonuses as applicable for sales-related roles. Actual compensation may vary by experience, qualifications, and location, with specific benefits including equity, bonuses, retirement plans, health coverage, and wellness stipends discussed in detail during the hiring process.
