Team & Role Summary

The Central Strategy and Operations (S&O) team at Stripe seeks a highly experienced senior individual contributor who is deeply focused on organizational dynamics and building robust operational systems. This role centers around owning and enhancing the company's foundational operations, such as planning processes, operating rhythms, information structuring, and cross-functional systems enabling leadership to make better, faster decisions. The role is highly technical and strategic, emphasizing system building and automation over coordination or simple management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Stripe's annual planning processes and manage multiple associated workstreams and leadership decision frameworks.
• Continuously refine current processes, automate manual workflows, and innovate lighter, more efficient methods for completing tasks.
• Create scalable operational infrastructure by transforming repetitive or fragmented processes into automated systems utilizing data pipelines, AI, and new tools.
• Bridge strategy and execution by facilitating strategic discussions in leadership forums, preparing and leading operating meetings, and ensuring actionable follow-ups.
• Consistently evaluate and enhance operational systems by identifying inefficiencies, unclear handoffs, and accountability gaps, driving comprehensive improvements.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has over 15 years of experience in operational roles within high-growth technology organizations, showcasing a history of improving operational systems rather than only managing them. They possess extensive knowledge of company-wide or functional planning, aiming to automate and optimize workflows. Comfort with ambiguity and autonomy in solving undefined operational challenges is critical. They should be adept at analyzing data independently, working directly with senior executives, and applying advanced AI and automation tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in fintech, management consulting, or investment banking is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Stripe-like product and infrastructure ecosystems or similar complex platforms.
• Competence with contemporary planning software, workflow automation platforms, and operational data frameworks.

Work Environment

The role supports hybrid work arrangements allowing either office-based or remote engagement (remote defined as 35 miles or more from a Stripe office). Office-based employees are expected to spend at least half their working time onsite or collaborating in person. Remote employees are encouraged to reside where they currently live or intend to live; relocation expenses are not covered.

Pay and Benefits

The annual base salary range in the US is $174,100 to $261,100, varying by experience, qualifications, and location. Compensation may also include equity, bonuses, 401(k) plans, medical, dental, vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
