Role overview
This position may be based in one of the approved office locations associated with the role. As a Customer Success Manager for Consumables, you will help shape retail e-commerce growth by strengthening vendor partnerships, improving business performance, and enhancing the experience customers have with major retail brands on Amazon.
You will work with strategic retail vendors to support growth initiatives, improve satisfaction, and turn performance insights into practical business actions. The role combines relationship management, analytical thinking, and cross-functional coordination to deliver measurable results for both vendors and customers.
What you'll do
- Work with vendors to build and implement strategic plans covering marketing, merchandising, and supply chain priorities.
- Review business metrics and turn them into clear recommendations that support growth and a better customer experience.
- Act as the main contact for vendor needs while maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Help vendors navigate Amazon tools, policies, and growth opportunities while keeping operations running smoothly.
- Contribute ideas and actions that improve processes and support broader innovation efforts.
Day-to-day work
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve vendor issues and put solutions into action.
- Study performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
- Create and deliver strategic recommendations to vendors.
- Join team meetings and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Manage several priorities at once while maintaining a high standard of service.
Team environment
You will join a collaborative team of 6 to 10 Customer Success Managers who support one another’s growth and success. The group values innovation, continuous learning, and work-life balance, and it regularly participates in team activities while offering clear paths for career progression.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience handling priorities, team scheduling, time management, and deadline-driven work.
- At least 3 years of experience working with vendors or clients in account management, vendor management, or related areas such as buying, planning, or merchandising.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience using data analysis and presentation tools.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in retail, e-commerce, or technology.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to use data visualization tools effectively.
- Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Exposure to process improvement or operational excellence work.

Compensation and benefits
The role includes eligibility for a base salary within the listed ranges, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units. Final pay depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also provides a benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, supplemental life options, employee assistance support, mental health support, a medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
Base salary ranges listed for the role are: Santa Monica, CA USD 70,400 to 101,800 annually; New York, NY USD 66,300 to 112,000 annually; Austin, TX USD 58,200 to 101,800 annually; Arlington, VA USD 58,200 to 101,800 annually; Seattle, WA USD 80,200 to 101,800 annually.
