Role Overview

This position is based at one of Amazon's designated corporate offices in Santa Monica, CA, Austin, TX, or New York, NY. The Customer Success Manager will play a pivotal role in accelerating revenue growth and transforming vendor relationships into strategic successes within the retail e-commerce industry. The role involves directly influencing leading retail brands, improving customer interactions, and pioneering scalable business approaches on Amazon’s platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with vendors to formulate and implement strategic business initiatives covering marketing, merchandising, and supply chain operations.
  • Examine performance metrics to offer insightful recommendations aimed at business expansion and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative partnerships, acting as the main contact for vendor requirements.
  • Assist vendors to navigate Amazon’s operational tools, policies, and identify avenues for growth while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Support process optimization and innovation efforts benefiting the organization at large.

Daily Activities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address vendor issues and deploy effective solutions.
  • Analyze performance data for opportunities to foster growth.
  • Create and deliver strategic advice and presentations to vendor stakeholders.
  • Engage in team meetings and participate in knowledge exchange forums.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects while ensuring high levels of service quality.

Team Environment

The team is composed of 6-10 Customer Success Managers who emphasize mutual support, innovation, continuous education, and maintain a balance between work and personal life. Frequent team activities and clear progressive career paths are integral to the team culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently in a fast-moving, deadline-centric setting.
  • At least three years of experience in client-facing roles such as Account Management, Vendor Management, Buying, Planning, or Merchandising.
  • Proven skills in analysis and problem-solving.
  • Competent with data analysis and presentation software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Background in operational excellence or continuous/process improvement.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or technology sectors.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data visualization platforms.
  • Experience in managing relations among diverse stakeholders.
