Job description
Role overview
Spotify’s sales organization is focused on building strong partnerships that help grow the business across existing and new markets. In this customer success role, you will support advertisers and agency partners across the full sales and campaign journey, from RFP handling through campaign optimization, expansion opportunities, and post-campaign wrap-up. The position blends client service, strategic planning, consultative selling, project coordination, and data-backed storytelling.
You will act as a dependable market partner who can anticipate client needs, propose solutions, protect revenue, and uncover growth opportunities. The work directly contributes to how audiences experience music and podcasts on Spotify.
What you will do
- Develop strong working relationships with clients to provide excellent service to advertiser and agency partners.
- Serve as the main contact for client requests and questions across the sales and campaign lifecycle.
- Own RFP responses and shape media planning strategies across all buying channels.
- Join client meetings regularly to support campaign preparation, launch, optimization, reporting, and final wrap-ups.
- Work with internal cross-functional teams to build campaigns that align with business objectives and performance goals.
- Manage campaign setup, launch, and activation, including creative production coordination, specification review, asset collection, and accurate trafficking.
- Track pacing, delivery, and performance results, then refine media plans to improve outcomes.
- Use reporting and insights to spot, pitch, and close upsell and expansion opportunities.
- Lead complex projects that involve multiple workstreams and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a product expert by guiding clients and agencies on Spotify’s current and new offerings, standard workflows, and custom optimization approaches.
- Analyze and present data, including brand measurement studies, and turn findings into clear recommendations through strong storytelling.
- Own post-campaign reviews and share learnings that support repeat business.
- Coordinate with internal teams on billing setup and revisions so invoices are accurate and sent on time.
- Follow internal standards, processes, and operating rhythms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Sales, Advertising, Marketing, or Business.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital media planning and/or buying.
- Solid understanding of the advertising ecosystem, performance metrics, and programmatic advertising concepts.
- Strong industry knowledge and interest in building a long-term career in digital media.
- Consistent track record of excellent customer service.
- Ability to convert client needs into recommendations that support business goals and desired results.
- Capability to build persuasive sales narratives using data and research.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently within a collaborative team.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM, OMS, ad server, and other digital media technology tools.
Work location
