About the Role
Join ASB as a Customer Specialist based at our Te Awamutu Advice Centre, where you will be a vital point of contact for customers managing their everyday banking needs. This role offers the chance to develop your career in a supportive environment while balancing work and life commitments.
You will engage with customers from various backgrounds, helping them achieve their financial goals, guiding them through digital banking platforms, and fostering strong community connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customers with their daily banking transactions and inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to assist customers in achieving their financial objectives.
- Educate and guide customers in the use of digital banking tools and products.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth branch operations.
Candidate Profile
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service and helping others.
- Ability to build trust and establish meaningful relationships quickly.
- Adaptable learner who enjoys acquiring new skills and knowledge.
- Comfortable with technology and capable of assisting others with digital tools.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, sales, banking, or call centers is beneficial though not essential.
Previous banking experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.

Additional Information
- Full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment screenings, including Police, Credit, AML Compliance checks, qualification verifications, and where relevant, overseas background checks.
