Role Overview
This customer service role is central to delivering smooth healthcare support. You will handle patient communications, work closely with clinical teams, and assist with scheduling appointments and processing medication refill requests. Your work will help ensure patients receive accurate information and timely assistance, improving their overall care experience.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves managing a high volume of inbound calls each day, understanding each caller’s needs, and capturing accurate details in internal systems. You will also serve as a link between patients and clinical staff, while handling a range of administrative support tasks related to patient care.
- Respond to roughly 60 to 80 incoming calls per day and determine what each customer needs.
- Use active listening and targeted questions to gather and record information in computer systems.
- Coordinate directly with clinical staff on patient-related concerns.
- Process medication refill requests, referral requests, and chart-related issues.
- Book patient appointments and keep demographic records up to date.
- Carry out additional duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, and must be at least 18 years old. Prior customer service experience of at least one year, especially in roles involving phones and computers, is required. Strong computer skills, familiarity with Windows-based applications, and a typing speed of 40 words per minute are also necessary. The role requires availability for full-time work Monday through Friday in 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm MST.
Preferred Background
Experience in healthcare, call center environments, or familiarity with medical terminology will be considered an advantage.
Remote Work Requirements
Applicants outside the employer’s local area must be within commuting distance of Lakewood, Colorado for a 1.5-day on-site orientation. After orientation, the job can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States. Candidates must be able to maintain a private, secure workspace and have access to an approved high-speed internet connection.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16.00 to $29.00, depending on experience and other relevant factors. Eligible employees may also receive a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase opportunities, and 401(k) contribution support.
