Role overview

They are looking for a Customer Service Operator to join the current team and support patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals across the UK and Ireland. No prior healthcare background is needed because complete training will be provided.

This is a 24/7 operation, and the available position is for a day shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. Tuesday and Sunday will be days off.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial contact for inbound calls and resolve queries in an efficient manner.
  • Handle patient requests such as arranging appointments and sharing information with GPs and other healthcare professionals.
  • Carry out administrative duties, including processing prescriptions, referral letters, and other medical paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records and store information in accordance with company procedures.

Candidate profile

  • Strong customer service abilities and excellent attention to detail are essential.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience in call handling or a contact centre is useful, though not mandatory because full training is included.
  • The role suits someone with strong emotional awareness and the ability to understand and support patients empathetically.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications is expected.

Pay

This employer is a Real Living Wage Employer. Hourly pay starts at £13.45, with an additional uplift of £1 to £2 per hour for evening work.
