Role overview

We are seeking a driven, customer-oriented Customer Service Representative to join a busy and encouraging team in Auckland. This is a temporary position with a genuine chance of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The hiring company is one of New Zealand’s largest construction businesses, supplying ready-mix concrete through its Certified brand, along with a broad product range that includes concrete masonry, paving, segmental retaining walls, and veneers.

Working hours

Operational coverage runs from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Shifts are rostered across the following times:

  • 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Rostered Saturday work is required.

Key duties

  • Accurately receive and process customer orders by phone, email, and other channels.
  • Arrange deliveries and keep customers informed about schedules, progress updates, and any changes.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, production, drivers, and other internal teams to ensure orders are completed smoothly.
  • Respond to customer questions, resolve concerns, and nurture strong working relationships.
  • Track order status and make sure all details are entered correctly into the company’s systems.
  • Support service standards while working in line with company procedures and health and safety expectations.

What you’ll need

  • Previous experience in the concrete, construction, transport, or manufacturing sectors is required.
  • Demonstrated background in customer service and the ability to develop solid customer relationships.
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities, plus the capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • A reliable, upbeat, and collaborative approach with a commitment to excellent service.

Important information

Applicants must already be in New Zealand and have the legal right to work there at the time they apply. The successful candidate will also need to pass a pre-employment drug test and a clear Ministry of Justice check.
