About the Employer
Persol is hiring on behalf of Programmed Facility Management for an experienced specialist cleaner to join a busy facilities team operating from the Henderson depot in Auckland.

Programmed Facility Management provides cleaning and facility support services for community and public locations across New Zealand. Their work centres on safety, collaboration, and reliable service delivery, helping keep shared spaces clean, safe, and running smoothly.
About the Role
This is a practical, hands-on position for someone who is proud of the quality of their work, can operate independently, and is comfortable handling a mix of specialist and commercial cleaning tasks at sites around Auckland.
You will begin each day at the Henderson depot and then travel to various locations such as community centres, libraries, public facilities, public toilets, and other council or community buildings.
Key Duties
- Carry out carpet cleaning tasks
- Strip and polish floors
- Use scrubber and buffing machines
- Clean windows
- Perform water blasting
- Complete high-dusting work
- Clean upholstery
- Handle general commercial cleaning tasks
- Clean public restrooms
- Follow scheduled cleaning processes and work in a safe manner
What the Employer Is Looking For
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in commercial or specialist cleaning and should be familiar with operating commercial cleaning machines and equipment.
A full Class 1 driver licence is required.
Applicants must be able to read, understand, and complete job instructions and safety paperwork in English, be physically capable of manual work, and remain dependable, on time, and committed to full-time hours.
Flexibility to work day or night shifts is important. A solid understanding of workplace health and safety is also expected.
Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment medical check and drug screening, and provide two recent work references.
Shift Details
The role is full-time, five days per week, and shift flexibility is valued.
Typical working hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm or 7:00pm to 3:30am.
The regular days off are Tuesday and Wednesday.
