Role overview
This position focuses on accurate preparation, review, and release of insurance policies and endorsements. The role calls for strong attention to detail, compliance awareness, and close coordination with internal teams to ensure documents are issued on time and without errors.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and issue insurance policies after proposal approval, making sure all terms, coverage details, and conditions are correct.
- Process policy endorsements, including changes in coverage, beneficiary information, and corrections, while maintaining proper approvals and documentation.
- Verify customer records, underwriting decisions, and premium calculations before a policy is released.
- Follow IRDAI rules as well as internal company procedures for all policy issuance and endorsement activities.
- Work with underwriting, sales, and customer support teams to resolve mismatches and ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Keep organised and accurate records of policies, endorsements, and client communication.
- Respond to customer questions related to policy issuance, endorsement updates, and required documentation.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in insurance operations, ideally in policy issuance or endorsement handling.
- Good understanding of insurance products, underwriting workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Comfort using MS Office and insurance administration systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good organisational ability.
