Job description
Role overview
This retail position is based in the Tallaght area and reports to the Shop Manager. The main focus of the role is to create an excellent experience for customers by being friendly, helpful, and well informed. You will support the Shop Manager and wider team in keeping the store running smoothly, maintaining strong standards throughout the day, handling bets and payouts, and delivering consistently high-quality service. The role also includes opening and closing the shop, and at times you may take charge of shop operations.
Key duties
- Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with the daily operation of the shop.
- Take responsibility for shop operations when the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager are unavailable.
- Open and close the store as required.
- Lead and coordinate the shop team when needed.
- Follow cash-handling procedures accurately.
- Process customer bets correctly and efficiently across different channels, including betting terminals and in-store EPOS transactions.
- Represent the brand positively and introduce customers to digital and multi-channel services.
- Keep a calm, professional approach in a busy, high-pressure environment.
- Maintain high presentation standards across the shop throughout the working day.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and operating procedures are always followed.
- Promote social responsibility in line with shop policies.
- Encourage customers to explore in-store and online products and services.
