Job description

Role overview

This retail position is based in Monkstown and reports to the Shop Manager. The main aim of the role is to create a great experience for customers by being approachable, helpful, and well-informed. You will support the Shop Manager and wider team in keeping the store running smoothly, maintaining high standards throughout the day, and handling bets and payments accurately. The role also includes opening and closing duties, and at times you may take charge of shop operations.

What you will do

  • Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with the daily operation of the shop.
  • Take the lead when the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager are unavailable, including opening and closing the branch.
  • Oversee and coordinate the team when required.
  • Follow cash-handling procedures and maintain accurate money management.
  • Handle customer bets correctly and efficiently using betting terminals and the EPOS system.
  • Provide a welcoming, knowledgeable, and customer-first service at all times.
  • Represent the brand positively and introduce customers to digital and multi-channel services.
  • Maintain high standards of shop presentation and overall cleanliness during the working day.
  • Work calmly in a busy, high-pressure retail setting.
  • Follow all safety, compliance, shop-operation, and social responsibility procedures.
  • Promote the company’s in-shop and online products and services.
  • Work as part of a team while also being comfortable using your own initiative.
  • Use training and on-the-job support to keep developing your skills and progress within the business.

Training and development
