Role overview
Albany Toyota is hiring a motivated Service Advisor Cadet for its busy Lower Hutt dealership. This is a full-time, on-site position in Wellington, New Zealand. The role is suited to someone eager to begin a career in the automotive sector and develop confidence in customer-facing service work.
In this position, you will work alongside experienced Service Advisors and act as a key link between customers and the workshop team. The job is centered on delivering a high-quality customer experience, supporting service operations, and learning the fundamentals of automotive service advising.
Key duties
- Welcome customers to the branch, direct them to the right team members, and help start the service visit in a friendly, professional way.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns, complete vehicle walk-arounds, and record repair requests accurately.
- Keep communication flowing between customers and technicians so clients stay updated on repair progress throughout their visit.
- Return vehicles to customers in good condition and explain the completed work in a clear, customer-focused manner.
- Recommend servicing needs where appropriate, prepare accurate time and cost estimates, and manage service bookings.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and enquiries so customers remain informed from start to finish.
- Set a strong example of outstanding service and maintain a consistently customer-first attitude.
- Handle general dealership administration tasks such as vehicle registration and relicensing.
