Role overview
This role is focused on delivering premium customer service while helping customers book Emirates flights and related travel products. The position supports travelers in planning trips, resolving booking needs, and meeting commercial goals for the team, station, and wider network.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of service to Emirates customers, explain fare options, identify needs, and convert opportunities into ticket sales and related product sales.
- Build strong customer rapport, look for sales opportunities actively, and promote relevant Emirates offerings while maintaining service quality targets for every interaction.
- Issue tickets accurately and ensure all applicable airline rules and regulations are applied so that customer requests are handled correctly.
- Guide customers on travel documentation and journey requirements, including passport, visa, health-related needs, and practical trip details such as check-in location and timing.
- Increase revenue by recommending additional products and services such as Skywards membership, DBB, Dubai stopovers, hotel bookings, and upgraded fares.
- Stay updated on Emirates Group announcements and internal developments to maintain professional standards and company alignment.
Location
This opportunity is based at the Mumbai Contact Centre in Malad, Mumbai, India.
Experience and skills expected
Candidates should have around 1+ year of experience, with preference for those who have worked in web chat and social media support. The role also calls for strong interpersonal communication, telephone handling, and customer service skills, along with the ability to work in shifts and contribute effectively in a busy sales environment. Familiarity with Windows-based tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and email is required, as well as knowledge of contact centre operations and airline industry procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants should have completed 12th grade or an equivalent qualification. HSC or a graduate equivalent is acceptable. A background of 2+ years in a contact centre or reservations office within the airline or travel sector is preferred, or completion of a diploma/degree in Travel and Tourism.
