Role Overview

The Customer Engagement Specialist will build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals, support brand adoption, and serve as a key connection point between Bayer and external stakeholders. The role combines customer engagement, scientific communication, digital interaction, CRM discipline, and cross-functional coordination, with a strong focus on hybrid engagement methods and customer experience improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and continuously refresh a targeted list of doctors in line with market changes.
  • Build trusted professional relationships with healthcare professionals and help them understand when Bayer products may be appropriate for their patients.
  • Act as a main contact point between stakeholders and Bayer while sharing customer needs internally and seeking support from cross-functional teams.
  • Co-develop content with the speaker network to align scientific interests of healthcare professionals with Bayer’s promotional goals.
  • Record all customer interactions in the BCH CRM system and use healthcare professional insights to inform future messaging and content.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality customer data, including profiles, daily activity, event reports, channel preferences, customer insights, adoption stage, and sample distribution where required.
  • Work with the Business Analytics team to plan meeting calendars and invitations based on micro-segmentation and customer needs.
  • Support virtual meetings when needed and manage time effectively in a hybrid working setup, balancing face-to-face and virtual engagement to meet business goals across wider geographies.
  • Help create digital networking opportunities for healthcare professionals and influence less loyal customers to increase adoption of Bayer brands.
  • Improve customer experience by monitoring engagement activities, content, and channels and using data-driven decisions to increase value and impact.
  • Coordinate with peers to co-host group meetings when the format and setup require it.
  • Meet related financial targets within the assigned scope.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement tactical campaigns that move key customers along the adoption ladder.

Candidate Requirements

  • A university degree in Pharmacy is required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in doctor detailing and promotion.
  • Strong record of engaging and managing stakeholders effectively.
  • Solid knowledge of medical communication and customer experience excellence.
  • Ability to understand and interpret scientific data within the assigned therapy area.
  • Practical experience with digital and virtual tools is essential.
  • Comfort working in new hybrid operating models and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Good understanding of agile ways of working is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of medico-marketing strategies and tactics.
  • High proficiency in English is preferred for internal and cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Arabic language skills are mandatory.
  • As per Saudi regulations, the position must be filled by a Saudi national citizen.
