About the Role

Join Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver in Weston-Super-Mare, representing the company directly to customers during their home deliveries. This position blends driving with customer service, requiring a hands-on, active approach with diversity in daily tasks and significant autonomy supported by a team at base.

Work Schedule

• Monday: 13:00 to 22:00
• Tuesday: 08:00 to 17:00
• Wednesday: 13:00 to 22:00
• Friday: 13:00 to 22:00
• Saturday: 14:00 to 23:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure customers receive orders in excellent condition.
• Load your van safely and perform all necessary checks to confirm the vehicle is reliable and ready for deliveries.
• Communicate courteously with customers about any substitutions or changes in their orders, managing refunds if necessary to ensure a positive experience.
• Handle products carefully as if they were your own to preserve quality and trust.
• Deliver orders within the assigned time window, providing friendly, genuine service and ensuring customers feel valued at the doorstep.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
• Ability to build strong team relationships to foster a positive work environment and deliver excellent customer service.
• Warm and welcoming attitude towards customers and colleagues alike.
• Adaptability and responsiveness to customers' evolving needs and to changes during both delivery routes and store-based tasks.

• Competitive pay starting at £14.18 per hour, with an increase up to £15.45 for stores within the M25 area; some locations may offer extra payments.
