About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver representing Tesco at the customer's doorstep, you will provide more than just transportation; your role is integral in delivering excellent service with a friendly approach. The job involves physical activity and offers a dynamic workday with varied tasks. You will operate independently on the road but have the support of managers and teammates at the base when needed.

Working Hours

• Sunday: 08:00 to 16:00
• Monday: 09:00 to 19:00
• Tuesday: 09:00 to 13:00
• Saturday: 14:00 to 19:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and workspace to ensure customers receive their groceries in impeccable condition.
• Loading the delivery vehicle safely and performing all necessary checks to confirm the vehicle's reliability and roadworthiness.
• Communicating courteously with customers about any modifications to their orders, including substitutions and date-sensitive items, and processing refunds to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Handling all products carefully, treating every delivery with utmost attention to quality and trust.
• Delivering orders within assigned timeframes with a personable and considerate attitude that makes customers feel valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to foster strong team dynamics with colleagues to enhance service delivery.
• A warm, approachable demeanor towards both customers and team members.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to evolving customer needs and workflow changes, both on the road and at the store.
• Validity of a full UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (manual or automatic) held for a minimum of 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
