Customer Delivery Driver (Permanent, 30-35 Hours) - Navan, County Meath

Overview

Join Tesco Ireland as a Customer Delivery Driver, a pivotal role where you represent the first point of contact for our customers receiving home deliveries. This position involves a dynamic and hands-on work environment with a mixture of physical tasks and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional home shopping experience, prioritizing customer satisfaction in every interaction.
• Manage van loading duties when necessary and ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
• Follow assigned schedules and planned delivery routes effectively.
• Maintain a professional appearance wearing the uniform and be prepared to assist customers.
• Drive responsibly and comply fully with traffic laws while being courteous to other road users.
• Engage warmly with customers by greeting them by name and ensuring their deliveries are handled with utmost care.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a full Irish or EU driving licence (manual or automatic) for a minimum of two years with no more than three penalty points.
• Exhibit safe and courteous driving habits at all times.
• Have a genuine interest in helping others and excellent interpersonal skills enhanced by a good sense of humor.
• Demonstrate initiative, common sense, and the ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.
• Be committed to positively impacting customers and colleagues alike.
• Applicants must undergo Garda Vetting and provide current penalty points documentation from the National Driver Licence Services during assessment.
• Previously disqualified drivers within the last 10 years will not be accepted.
