About the Role

Tesco is seeking reliable Customer Delivery Drivers to enhance the shopping experience for Irish customers. This position involves hands-on work and varied daily tasks, with drivers acting independently while having strong support from management. You'll be the initial point of contact for customers receiving their orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an outstanding home shopping experience, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Load delivery van when necessary and conduct daily vehicle safety checks.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules carefully.
  • Maintain professional appearance in uniform and provide friendly, personalized service.
  • Drive responsibly, obeying road laws and demonstrating courteous behavior towards other road users.
  • Handle customers' orders with care, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.

Requirements

  • Possess a full Irish or EU driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years, with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Exemplify safe and considerate driving habits.
  • Enjoy assisting others and engaging with customers positively.
  • Have good communication skills paired with a personable nature and sense of humor.
  • Exercise initiative and practical judgment during deliveries.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to positively impacting customers and coworkers.
  • Remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Applicants must pass Garda Vetting; recent driving disqualifications within the past 10 years disqualify candidacy.

Additional Information

Offers of employment depend on clearance of Garda Vetting and provision of current penalty points proof obtained from the National Driver Licence Services. Selected candidates will be required to submit bank account details prior to starting.
