Customer Delivery Driver - Northwich Superstore

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver serving the Northwich Superstore, you will be many customers' primary point of contact with Tesco, delivering orders directly to their homes. This role goes beyond driving; it involves excellent customer service, physical work, and varied daily tasks while often working independently with support from store management.

Work Schedule

• Sunday: 08:00 to 18:00
• Monday: 06:00 to 13:00
• Wednesday: 06:00 to 13:00
• Friday: 14:30 to 22:00

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and workspace to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the delivery van carefully and carry out all safety checks to confirm the vehicle is reliable and ready for daily routes.
• Communicate clearly and kindly with customers about any order modifications, substitutions, or items nearing expiry, providing refunds when necessary to maintain a smooth delivery experience.
• Handle every product with care as if it were your own, ensuring it meets quality standards and earns customer trust.
• Deliver orders promptly within designated time slots, offering friendly and genuine service to leave customers feeling valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to develop positive working relationships and contribute to strong team morale.
• A warm, approachable attitude towards customers and coworkers alike.
• Capacity to adapt quickly to changes both on the road and in-store to meet evolving customer needs.
• Possession of a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for at least one year, with no more than three penalty points.
