About the Role

Join the Tesco team as a Customer Delivery Driver in Lowestoft Leisure Way Superstore, where you'll be the friendly face delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. This role extends beyond just driving; it involves providing helpful, attentive service with a smile. Expect a dynamic, physically engaging position where each shift offers new experiences. Work largely independently while having the support of an on-base team of managers and colleagues.

Your working hours align with specific availability windows: Sunday from 4 PM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 1 PM to 11 PM. Guaranteed minimum hours start at 16 per week, with opportunities available from 12 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive their orders in excellent condition.
• Load the delivery van carefully and conduct all necessary checks to guarantee roadworthiness and reliability.
• Communicate clearly and kindly with customers regarding any modifications to their orders including substitutions or short-dated products, managing refunds where necessary to ensure a smooth service experience.
• Handle all products attentively and responsibly, upholding quality standards and customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within customer time slots, providing warm and genuine service that leaves customers feeling valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Build strong, supportive relationships with colleagues to foster a positive team environment and enhance customer service delivery.
• Possess a welcoming and friendly demeanor towards both customers and coworkers.
• Adapt quickly to evolving customer needs and embrace changes both on the road and in store settings.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
