About the role

Tesco is looking for a Customer Assistant for its Liffey Valley store in Dublin. The business serves customers with a wide variety of products and services, and this role plays an important part in making sure shoppers receive a positive experience every day. What you will do

  • Put customers at the centre of every task and decision.
  • Build familiar, friendly relationships with shoppers and serve them with care.
  • Help keep products and services available whenever customers need them.
  • Handle goods carefully so they stay in good condition and reach customers as intended.
  • Maintain a clean, organised shop floor and back-of-house area.
  • Use the training provided to carry out department processes and routines correctly.
  • Follow company rules and health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Support other departments when needed, even if your main responsibilities are elsewhere.

  • A genuine ability to deliver warm, natural customer service by greeting, acknowledging, and helping people proactively.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to supporting customers, teammates, and your department.
  • Good prioritisation skills so work is completed in the right way for customers.
  • Flexibility and resilience to cope with changing business needs.
  • The ability to follow both spoken and written instructions.
  • Dependability and good timekeeping.
  • A neat, smart appearance at all times.
