Job Summary

This position is responsible for keeping a warehouse facility neat, sanitary, and well organized. The work centers on routine cleaning, waste handling, and supporting health and safety compliance. Success in the role depends on attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to complete physical tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep warehouse floors clean by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.
• Regularly clean restrooms, break areas, and office spaces.
• Remove dust and grime from surfaces and equipment to maintain a tidy environment.
• Gather trash and recyclables and dispose of them according to local rules and site expectations.
• Manage waste and recycling containers so they are emptied and replaced on time.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures to help maintain a safe site.
• Escalate safety concerns, damaged equipment, or maintenance needs to leadership.
• Keep cleaning stock at proper levels by monitoring and restocking supplies.
• Store cleaning tools and materials in their assigned locations.
• Help prepare and clean up spaces for warehouse meetings or events.
• Carry out minor repair and maintenance tasks when required.
• Work to the expected standards for speed, accuracy, and quality.
• Maintain an orderly, hazard-free environment and report issues to the appropriate leader.
• Coordinate with teammates and supervisors to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Follow company policies as well as warehouse procedures at all times.
• Support other functions or departments and take on additional duties when needed.

Physical Demands

The job involves extended standing and walking, up to 12 hours per day. It also requires clear communication through speech, vision, and hearing, frequent use of the hands for basic and detailed handling, and regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. The role may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling medium loads of up to 75 lbs.

Experience and Education

One year of related experience in a distribution setting is preferred but not mandatory. A high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent mix of education and experience, is acceptable. A college degree is not required for this position.

Work Environment

Employees may work around moving mechanical equipment and vehicles on a regular basis. At times, the environment may include shifting temperatures and humidity, along with dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level is generally moderate, and foot traffic through the work area is normal.
