Role Overview
The Culture & Onboarding Specialist leads the new hire onboarding and learning experience in the Human Resources domain within the ecosystem. This role delivers comprehensive onboarding training covering HR programs, company culture, business systems, and applications to create a cohesive, engaging, and effective first-week experience for new employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate eight instructor-led onboarding sessions weekly, ensuring a consistent and engaging delivery across cohorts.
- Introduce new hires to organizational culture, core convictions, guiding principles, and essential business and HR systems.
- Develop and maintain onboarding curriculum, guides, presentations, and other learning materials in collaboration with HR and business leaders.
- Deliver specialized training beyond standard onboarding to address specific organizational or departmental needs.
- Create a virtual classroom atmosphere that promotes interaction, knowledge retention, and employee connection.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through feedback, metrics, and continuous enhancement proposals.
- Conduct first-week employee check-ins to reinforce learning, resolve issues, and assess onboarding challenges.
- Partner with onboarding managers and specialists to provide seamless employee onboarding experiences from preboarding through completion of week one.
- Use AI-enabled and digital tools to improve workflow efficiency and learning quality.
- Support enterprise onboarding projects and serve as a trusted resource for leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, education, or related discipline, or a recognized HR certification, or two plus years of HR experience along with at least five years total in human resources.
- Advanced expertise in adult learning principles, onboarding best practices, and employee engagement design.
- Proficient in designing and delivering instructor-led and virtual training sessions to varied audiences.
- Experienced in curriculum development, instructional design, and effective training material creation.
- Capability to manage multiple live training sessions maintaining high energy and professionalism.
- Intermediate knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, compliance, payroll, benefits administration, and HR technology.
- Competence in collaborating with diverse teams across HR, IT, Payroll, and business units.
- Strong skills in MS Office and familiarity with virtual learning technologies and emerging AI tools.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Work Conditions and Travel
Frequent stationary work with some office movement required. Occasional travel up to 10%, which can include visits across all US states for client meetings, conferences, or other business purposes.
