Role Overview
The Culture & Engagement Specialist serves a crucial role in shaping and delivering an exceptional employee experience at every stage—from onboarding and engagement to internal communication and employer branding activities. Reporting to the HR Manager, this position acts as a primary link between HR and business functions, championing company culture while informing and supporting staff in alignment with Presto’s core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate, and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new employees, including orientation, preparation of tools/access, and collaboration with managers on expectations.
- Oversee the employee offboarding journey, ensuring a positive exit experience, conducting exit interviews, and gathering feedback to recommend culture or retention improvements.
- Drive internal communications by crafting and implementing annual plans, launching campaigns, disseminating company updates, and facilitating effective feedback channels.
- Design and manage engagement programs—such as recognition initiatives, wellbeing efforts, and company events—that boost motivation, satisfaction, and employee retention.
- Support employer branding initiatives by curating content for HR-related platforms, partnering with marketing on workplace culture showcases, and managing or coordinating social media content.
- Prepare, analyze, and present HR data and engagement metrics, contribute recommendations, and support cross-department coordination for continuous improvements in employee experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s is preferred.
- 2–4 years’ background in Human Resources, Internal Communications, or Employee Engagement, ideally in tech or high-growth settings.
- Proficient in Arabic and English; additional French fluency is advantageous.
- Familiar with onboarding, employee engagement models, internal communication processes, and (preferably) employer branding strategies and survey methodologies.
Skills & Competencies
- Outstanding communication abilities in both Arabic and English, with strong content writing and editing proficiency.
- Facilitation and presentation skills for conducting orientations, workshops, and meetings.
- Experience in designing and analyzing employee engagement programs and surveys.
- Capabilities in internal communication planning, project management, and event organization.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva for content creation, and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Basic abilities in photography, videography, and managing social media, especially LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Performance Benchmarks (First 90 Days)
- Achieve full onboarding completion for all new hires within the period.
- Attain at least 90% new hire satisfaction after 30 days, supported by cohort survey data.
- Deliver scheduled onboarding activities, including checklists and probation reviews.
- Draft and receive approval for the annual internal communications strategy.
- Roll out at least one engagement or recognition initiative and compile the first comprehensive onboarding and engagement report.
- Foster strong working relationships with key departments, and execute two internal culture-building campaigns.
Additional Information
- This position requires residency in Tripoli, Libya.
- The role reports directly to the HR Manager and involves active coordination with marketing, IT, finance, and various business functions.
