Job description
Overview
The Van Helper / Ayah position involves supporting students and staff during school van transportation, focusing on passenger safety, comfort, and discipline, while aiding the driver in ensuring smooth vehicle operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist passengers, especially children, safely to board and disembark the van.
- Ensure all passengers are properly seated and maintain order throughout the journey.
- Help younger children manage their belongings such as bags and water bottles.
- Keep the van clean and hygienic on a daily basis.
- Accompany students until their handover to designated guardians or teachers.
- Assist the driver in taking attendance when required.
- Report any travel-related incidents or concerns promptly to relevant authorities.
- Provide basic care and attention to younger students during transit.
