About the Role
Royal Caribbean International is seeking a Cruise Staff professional who can help create lively, memorable experiences for guests at sea. The position focuses on building entertaining, engaging programs for adults and families while representing the brand as a confident host and presenter.
Language Requirement
This opportunity is specifically for Mandarin speakers. Candidates need to be fully fluent in Mandarin and English and comfortable interacting with guests in both languages.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will lead and support a variety of onboard recreational, entertainment, and social activities. You will act as a presenter and emcee, helping guide both small and large guest groups through fun experiences during their cruise.
Responsibilities
- Lead and take part in shipboard recreation, entertainment, and social programming.
- Act as the host or master of ceremonies for guest groups of different sizes.
- Create guest interaction through activities, events, and lively participation.
- Provide high-quality service while helping make the guest experience enjoyable and memorable.
Requirements
- Full fluency in Mandarin and English.
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience as an MC or in a professional entertainment setting such as theater, music, dance, comedy, resorts, cruise ships, or recreation/entertainment roles.
- Strong presentation ability and comfort using a microphone.
- Confidence in leading and managing large groups.
- Background in running activities, events, or teaching groups.
- Strong guest-service mindset and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to work with different software tools.
Preferred Background
A degree in Theater, Performance Arts, Dance, Communications, or a similar discipline is preferred. Additional talents or special skills that can be turned into onboard classes or activities are also an advantage.
