Role Summary

The Credit Assessment and Monitoring Officer is a full-time position based on site in Kingston. The role focuses on evaluating the creditworthiness of both new and existing customers by examining financial statements, credit reports, and related supporting records. It involves preparing detailed credit assessments, advising on suitable credit limits and terms, and ensuring all work aligns with internal guidelines and regulatory obligations.

Key Duties

In this position, you will track loan portfolios, spot early warning indicators, carry out ongoing risk reviews, and escalate issues when needed. You will also work closely with relationship managers and other internal teams to support prudent lending decisions, keep records accurate and current, and help improve credit risk processes over time.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a closely related discipline is expected.
  • Applicants should have experience in credit analysis, banking, or financial services, along with knowledge of regulatory expectations and local market conditions.
  • Strong analytical ability and finance understanding are needed to assess credit risk, interpret financial information, and make informed recommendations.
  • Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills are important for working with clients, presenting findings, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Auditing and risk-management capability is required to review documentation, maintain compliance, and support internal control standards.
  • Attention to detail, confidence with Microsoft Office and financial analysis tools, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential.
