Job description

Role overview

This position sits within the News Creator team, which designs and runs programs that expand the news content ecosystem through creator management, partnerships, and large-scale initiatives. The team partners closely with product groups to understand different creator segments, set priorities, and work alongside news publishers and other internal teams to move key efforts ahead in a fast-changing news environment.

What you will do

  • Create, coordinate, and deliver scaled initiatives that engage and support TikTok News Creators.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with news creators and journalists while helping shape news content strategy.
  • Define clear measurement plans with the product team, monitor engagement and program results against targets, and apply improvements to raise performance.
  • Work with operations partners to adapt and launch creator programs across global markets in line with core business frameworks.
  • Partner with product teams to identify growth opportunities using data-backed needs and product roadmap insights.
  • Build productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders such as communications, government relations, and legal teams to operationalize and expand creator programs and engagement.

What the employer is looking for

Candidates should bring a bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience, along with a strong grasp of the digital news environment, journalism, and the creator ecosystem. Backgrounds in creator partnerships, content partnerships, program management, media partnerships, journalism, digital media, social platforms, or similar areas are relevant.

The role calls for proven experience running programs end to end, including planning, rollout, stakeholder coordination, measurement, and reporting. Strong project management skills are important, especially the ability to handle several initiatives at once in a fast-moving setting. Experience developing trusted relationships with creators, journalists, publishers, media organizations, or other outside partners is also needed.

Applicants should have worked across functions with product, communications, policy, legal, operations, and similar teams to support business goals. Clear written and spoken communication is essential, including the ability to present recommendations and program updates to internal and external audiences. The role also requires using data and insights to guide strategy, assess performance, and uncover optimization opportunities.

Preferred background

  • Experience in a newsroom, news agency, or other news-centered organization.
  • Experience at a social media platform, technology company, media company, newsroom, or creator-focused business.
  • Working knowledge of creator monetization, audience growth, content strategy, and platform expansion practices.
  • Experience launching or scaling creator engagement, education, or community initiatives.
