Creative Director of Events

Mission

This position holds responsibility for delivering one of Ember's unique strengths: transforming the impossible into reality through innovative event experiences. The chosen leader will guide a creative team and producers to consistently achieve this goal while supporting our clients and upholding a culture of exceptional event creativity executed with precision.

Role Overview

The role requires leading the creativity that distinguishes Ember from competitors — cultivating a team culture centered on inspiring event concepts, challenging clients, exploring emerging trends, and applying these innovations to events. This leadership is critical in maintaining clear creative value amidst competitive AI technologies and internal creative departments of our clients and prospects.

As Creative Lead for the New Business Team, the individual will collaborate closely with the New Business Development team, impressing prospects with rapid, strategic, and highly creative concepts. They will partner with producers to navigate the seemingly impossible creatively, ensure smooth transition post-conversion, and ready these projects for execution.

This role also involves leading the creative efforts for two major, complex projects or key client accounts alongside new business development.

Additional responsibilities encompass managing staffing and resources within the creative team, overseeing capacity and workload distribution for new business and expanding scopes, and collaborating with external creative partners. Continuous improvement of creative processes and systems is a major focus.

As a manager, this role supervises three director-level reports, focusing on retention of top performers, enhancing developing talents, and recruiting exceptional new team members.
